Capital One Arena

The Wizards have had more name changes than playoff runs, and their arena reflects that identity crisis. Capital One Arena sits smack downtown in D.C., which is convenient if you want to catch a game and a Senate filibuster in the same afternoon. It’s not flashy, but it’s functional: easy Metro access, decent food, and a chance to see the Wizards try valiantly to be more than “the other team in town.” Bonus: when the basketball isn’t great, you can always distract yourself with the knowledge that the Capitals banners hanging up there belong to a team that actually wins.
