Spectrum Center

Spectrum Center is… fine. It’s not ugly, it’s not gorgeous, it’s just there—a very Charlotte way of doing things. The real fun is when you remember this is Michael Jordan’s house, though he spent more time mismanaging the team than replicating his Bulls glory. The building itself is comfortable, has solid amenities, and is a good night out if you’re downtown, but it doesn’t exactly scream “NBA hotbed.” Hornets fans deserve better, and hopefully the buzz comes back stronger someday. Until then, you’ve got teal, purple, and the faint echo of “what if MJ had drafted literally anyone else?”
